Robotic Hands SDH

Everything under control

For use in the industry, the SCHUNK Dextrous Hand SDH includes:

  • Parallel grip (1)
  • 3-finger central grip –
    comprehensive (2)
  • 3-finger cylinder grip (3)
  • Large 3-finger centric grip parallel (4)
  • Manipulation of objects

Design and mobility of the fingers are modular to ensure that the components are available in modular system in the future. Two fingers may switch positions for different gripping scenarios.

Everything by touch

The pressure and surface recognition is optionally taken over by a tactile sensor system (5). Thus it is possible with the gripping process to detect if the object can be gripped optimally or if the grip should be adjusted (reactive grip (6)+(7)). The grip force may be sensitively determined and controlled via sensors. The required control strategy may be loaded as a program module in the memory of the hand electronics.
